What does open source mean?
Open source means that the source code is freely available (often free), and that you can therefore continue to work with it and share it with others.
What is a module?
In Odoo, a module is a building block that forms a smaller part of the system. Examples of modules are e.g. Accounting, Website, Warehouse etc. Modules can be installed continuously as the company needs more functions in Odoo.
In addition to modules, applications (or apps) are also used in Odoo. Where modules are large building blocks, the applications are used, roughly speaking, for smaller adaptations of the system.
Can I start with individual modules and later expand with more?
Slowly! There is no need to start with more modules than you need. You continue to pay per user, so there are no additional costs associated with extending Odoo later.
How do I install a new module?
Can the system be adapted?
Of course! Although Odoo has many standard functions, the system can easily be adapted to the company's needs. Odoo is based on open source, and the customization options are the system's greatest strength compared to other large ERP systems.
Why is Odoo so cheap compared to other major ERP systems?
Since Odoo is based on open source, the source code is freely available. This means that developers all over the world can contribute to the optimization of the system, which means that the total development costs are much lower than with traditional systems. Odoo is actually also available in a "light" version, called "Odoo Community". This version is completely free, but we only recommend this version for associations etc. If you want to use the system to run a professional company, we recommend the "Odoo enterprise" version.
If you use Odoo Enterprise, you pay an annual license. This is calculated based on the number of users and applications used. This calculation method means that you only pay for what you use, and thus the price of the Enterprise version also remains low compared to other ERP systems, where you often buy predefined package solutions.
Should Odoo be installed on the computer?
No. Odoo is web-based, which means all that is required is an internet connection.
How long do I commit to?
You can choose whether you want to commit for a month or one or more years at a time. However, most people choose a year, as this gives the best price.
How quickly can I get started?
Why are there different versions of Odoo?
Because Odoo is in constant development. Approx. once a year an updated version of Odoo's source code is released, and this constitutes a new version of Odoo. Basically, however, Odoo remains the same system across versions, and you can easily continue on your current version, even if a new one is released.
Can you switch to a newer version of Odoo?
You can easily do that. It applies to all IT that it must be continuously updated, which is why in the long term you will also have to upgrade to a newer version of Odoo. If you have a subscription to Odoo Enterprise, the actual data upgrade to a new version is included in the subscription. However, you must pay for consultant help for the actual process of testing, changing setup, etc. However, there is a certain amount of work associated with such an upgrade, and we recommend upgrading approx. here second year, unless new features in a new version are more important.
Is Odoo secure when running online?
You can be completely at ease with the security in Odoo, as both the team behind Odoo and the hosting center always prioritize that security is top notch - all environments are moved, e.g. from http to https. In FlexERP, we also focus on the EU's new personal data regulation and guarantee that we meet the new and stricter requirements for data protection. You can read more about security in Odoo her
What do I do with all the data from the old system when I switch to Odoo?
It must of course be transferred to Odoo. All master data, such as customer/supplier files, item numbers, etc. , from the old system is simply exported in a csv. file, which is subsequently imported into Odoo.
I use other systems for CRM and my website - can Odoo be integrated with them?
It is possible to integrate Odoo with many other systems. But one of the strengths of Odoo is precisely that the vast majority of other systems are made redundant because Odoo can do so much. Included in the price for the Odoo package is i.a. modules for CRM, website and web show p, why integration with other systems is often not necessary at all

I can't log in to Odoo - what do I do?
This is usually a browser issue. Try clearing browser data. In Chrome, you do this by clicking on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of the browser, clicking on "More tools" and then "Clear browsing data". Select "last 24 hours" or "last week" and click "Clear browser data". After that, Odoo should work again. If Odoo still does not work, contact us.
The data in Odoo is not updated - what do I do?
Try pressing F5 and the browser will refresh. If this does not help, you can try clearing browser data.
Odoo has been loading for a very long time - what do I do?
Depending on the task you have asked Odoo to perform, the loading time may well be long. This applies especially when large amounts of data are to be loaded - e.g. stock number. In these cases, one must be patient. Should Odoo still stand and load for too long (especially for small tasks), then an error has probably occurred on the server, and a restart of the server is therefore necessary at the hosting center. Contact us - and we will probably get it resolved as soon as possible. It usually only takes a few minutes.
